Worth the Short Drive from Fuengirola
Fuengirola is a lively town, with the long Paseo Marítimo, Sohail Castle on its hill by the river, Los Boliches and a busy centre. It also has its share of walk-in tattoo shops. If you're looking for something more considered (a custom design, a master artist and a calm, private setting), Oxygen Ink is around 15–20 minutes west along the coast in Calahonda, depending on traffic.
Björn has more than 30 years of tattooing behind him. He founded Oxygen Ink in Cologne in 2003 and brought it to the Costa del Sol in 2024. The studio works with one client at a time, and every design is drawn by hand.
Getting Here from Fuengirola
- By car: take the A-7 coast road west towards Marbella, past Mijas Costa and La Cala, to Calahonda. The studio is at Avenida de España 24, 29649 Calahonda.
- By bus: intercity buses between Fuengirola and Marbella run along the coast road through Calahonda. Check the current timetable.
- By taxi: an easy ride from Fuengirola centre or Los Boliches.
- Coming from Málaga by train? The Cercanías line ends at Fuengirola; from there it's a short taxi or bus ride west.
