Between the Dunes and the Studio
Cabopino is one of the most beautiful corners of Marbella's eastern coast: the small marina with its restaurants, the beach and the protected Artola dunes (the Dunas de Artola natural monument) with their pine trees and boardwalks. It's also only a short drive from Oxygen Ink, about 10 minutes east along the coast in Calahonda.
For people living in or visiting Cabopino and Artola, that means a master tattoo artist with more than 30 years of experience is closer than the centre of Marbella.
Getting Here from Cabopino
- By car: join the A-7 coast road heading east towards Fuengirola. Calahonda is just a few exits along. The studio is at Avenida de España 24, 29649 Calahonda.
- By taxi: a short ride from the marina or Artola.
- By bus: buses along the coast road connect Cabopino and Calahonda. Check current times before you travel.
Tattoos Inspired by the Coast
Cabopino's mix of sea, dunes and pine forest inspires a lot of our clients. A few ideas we love:
- Waves, sun and sea creatures in fine line or bold blackwork
- Turtles, manta rays and ocean motifs in Polynesian-inspired designs
- Mandalas and Flower of Life patterns in sacred geometry
- Wildlife and nature in detailed realism

A Tattoo and a Summer at the Marina
Cabopino is a summer favourite, and the beach is a big part of life here. If you're getting a tattoo during your stay, plan around about two weeks without swimming or direct sun on the new piece. Many visitors book their session towards the end of the holiday. Our aftercare guide explains everything.
